A brand with history

Founded in 2003, BEST Kiteboarding has been part of the sport for more than two decades. The brand has evolved over the years, bringing its design and production closer to the water in Tarifa, Spain — one of the world's best-known kiteboarding destinations.

Today, BEST develops and hand-finishes its equipment in Tarifa, with a focus on practical innovation, rider feedback and accessible performance.

Direct from BEST to the rider

Rather than relying on the traditional distributor-and-retailer chain, BEST sells directly to riders. This helps reduce intermediary costs and keeps the connection between the people making the equipment and the people riding it.

Through its ambassador community, including Train for the Wind, BEST also connects with riders who can share information about the gear and help others discover the brand.

Materials, technology & design

BEST's current kite range combines purpose-built materials with designs refined through testing in Tarifa.

• GRID-3 triple-ripstop canopy: A lightweight fabric designed for tear resistance and shape stability.
• URD+ Dacron: Used in the leading edge and struts to support structure and responsive handling.
• Load-conscious panel design and stitching: Construction intended to distribute stress and improve durability.
• Different designs for different riders: Options across freeride, freestyle, waves and lighter-wind conditions.
• Personalization: Custom board graphics and selected kite color options are available through BEST.
